Howard Edwin Shoemaker, 93, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away April 10, 2021 at the Lyons Hospital. He was born October 15, 1927 in Lyons, the son of Wilbert and Anna (Ball) Shoemaker. Howard graduated from Lyons High School. He married Lucille Ella Buckbee on May 5, 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille; brother, Joseph; sisters, Evelyn and Virginia; and his oldest son, Joseph. Howard is survived by his sons, Howard Raymond and Michael Jay and grandson, Ivan; nephew, Edwin (Sidney) their daughters, Christi and Lynn; niece; Carolyn (Gary) Goldfarb, son, Todd; niece, Patricia (Robert) Nolan, children, Robert and Teresa their grandchildren, Becky, Eddie, Sophia, Heather, Christopher and Thomas; niece, Cynthia (Stony) Stoltenberg, their sons, Keven and Craig; nephew, Les (Sue) Alderman, and nephew Wayne Schoonover. A graveside service will be held at Lyons Municipal Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to Lyons United Methodist Church, of Lyons Good Samaritan Society in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. May Howard rest in peace.
