Also surviving are two daughters, Janie Sue (husband Gary) Savage of Hillview, and Melody Jo (husband Don) Camerer of Milton, four grandchildren, Benjamin Runtz, Craig Renfrow, Chris Renfrow, and Christopher Camerer, and three great grandchildren, Quentin Renfrow, Jacob Runtz, and Maddie Camerer. He also has two brothers, Elmer Housmann of Hillview, and Carl Housmann of Carrollton. He was preceded in death by sisters, Violet Housmann, Dorothy Duggins and Minnie Wanicks, and brothers, Edward and Fred Housmann.
He worked at Hartwell Ranch in Hillview for over 30 years, and had worked at Orton Quarry for five years. He enjoyed woodworking and carving, making doll houses, barns, and other craft items. He always kept busy, helping others with roofing, carpentry work, or anything that needed done. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Services were entrusted to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home of White Hall, Illinois.
