Article, "Jakubowski Found Dead by Workers At Disposal Plant," Syracuse Post Standard, Friday, June 30, 1950

Alexander Jakubowski, 58, of 360 Richmond ave. was found dead by workers yesterday. He was employed as assistant sewer plant attendant at the disposal plant, Seventh North St., Ley Creek. Mr. Jakubowski had gone to sleep after eating his lunch When workers went to call him they found him dead. Sheriff's deputies were notified and the doctor accompanying the Onondaga General hospital ambulance pronounced Mr. Jakubowski dead.
Coroner Harry L. Gilmore stated that death was due to a heart ailment. Mr. Jakubowski was a native of Poland and had lived here for about 35 years. A communicant of Sacred Heart church, he was a member nf St. Albert's society, the Holy Name society of the church and the Polish National Alliance, Group 271.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Jakubowski; six daughters, Mrs. John Wisk, Mrs. Frank Rhodes, Mrs. Harry Brutcher, Mrs. Bruno Rubacha, Mrs. George Power and Mrs. Homer Langdon; three sons, Ray, Steve and Chester Jakubowski; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the home and at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart cemetery.

According to World War II U.S. Draft Registration Card dated April 25, 1942, Alexander Jakubowski resided at 360 Richmond Avenue in Syracuse, New York. He was was 52 years old and born in Poland on Nov. 28 1889. He was employed by Onondaga county, Ley Creek, 7 North Street in Syracuse.
