He confirmed his faith on June 26, 1881 at the Mamre Moravian Church, Town of Milford, WI.
He continued to live and work on the family farm, and obtained ownership of it on February 1, 1895, and continued to provide for his parents while they lived there.
On February 25, 1895, He married Marie Augusta Sommerfeld at the Town of Oakland, Jefferson Count,WI. Ludwig and Marie raised their family on the family farm, their children being; Albert(1895),Hattie(1896),Ester(1898),Friedrich(1899),Gertrude(1901),Ludwig(1902-1902),Frank(1904-1904),Ernest(1905)and Louis(1907).
His wife Marie passed away September 30, 1934. Ludwig continued to live on the farm until his passing on July 8, 1939, cause of death listed as chronic myocarditis.
His obituary from the Watertown Daily Times of July 8, 1939 read;
'Ludwig Borck of Shields Stricken, Services Tuesday -
A lingering illness early today claimed the life of Ludwig Borck, Town of Shields resident at his home in route 6. He was a widower, his wife having passed away in 1934.
Mr.Borck was born on the family homestead August 7, 1864, a son of Mr. and Mrs. August Borck. He lived on the same farm all his life.
Three daughters and four sons survive, Mrs. Hattie(Alfred) Miller, Fort Atkinson; Mrs. Ester(Alfred) Zimmerman, Helenville; Mrs. Gertrude(Charles) Kelm, Milford; Albert(Minnie), Jefferson; Fred(Edna) and Ernest(Laura), Town of Shields,and Louis(Irene), who resides on the homestead. There are 19 grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. Amanda(Louis) Giese, this city, also survives.
Mr. Borck was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran church.
Services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the Nowack Funeral Home at 2 pm in St.Luke's church, the Rev. Paul Lorenz officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery.'
