Ethelyn E. (Etta) Metzinger, 80, 3622 Liberty Lane, died Saturday at her home.
Mrs. Metzinger was born in Benton County, Ind., but lived in St. Joseph most of her life. She worked for many years as a switchboard operator for San Antonio Mutual.
Survivors include one son, Eugene A. Metzinger, Clarksdale, Mo.; five sisters, Sister Mary Lucy, Wichita, Kan., Miss Mary Metzinger, Mrs. Gertrude Frazee and Mrs. Beatrice Brady, all of St. Joseph, and Mrs. Catherine Holtsclaw, Easton, Mo.; five brothers, Raymond Metzinger, Drumright, Okla.; John Metzinger, Coffeyville, Kan.; Herman Metzinger and Sylvester Metzinger, both of St. Joseph, and Ralph Metzinger, Houston, Texas.
The body is at the Stamey mortuary.
