Service arrangements for Herman J. Metzinger are pending at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel
Mr. Metzinger, 70, Albany, Mo., died Monday evening at a St. Joseph hospital. He had resided in Albany the past two months after having made his home in St. Joseph for 46 years.
A native of Enid, Okla., he was a retired general foreman for the Whitaker Cable Corporation. Mr. Metzinger was a member of the Woodson Chapel Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Metzinger; a son, David Metzinger, Chillicothe, Mo.; two daughters, Evelyn Blyth, Albany and Eva Carol Duguid, Jacksonville, Fla.; four brothers, Raymond Metzinger, Drumright, Okla., John Metzinger, Coffeyville, Kan., Ralph Metzinger, Houston, Tesas, and Sylvester Metzinger, St. Joseph; four sisters, Mary Metzinger, Gertrude Frazee, Beatrice Brady, all of St. Joseph, and Catherine Holtsclaw, Easton, Mo., and seven grandchildren.
