Arlie A. Cockrum was bore June 13, 1929, at Custer, Ar. He spent his early years and received his education at Mt. Home, AR. and at the age of 17, began his long career as a shoe repairman.
On December 4, 1950, Miss Freda Herd and Arlie Cockrum were married at Harrison, AR. In 1951 they moved to Avenal, CA. where they owned and operated a shoe repair business. In 1963, the Cockrum family moved to Sunnyside where they owned and operated Arlie's Shoe Repair.
Survivors; two daughters and two sons. He is preceeded in death by his father, Pete Cockrum, and two brothers, Bill Cockrum and Bob Cockrum; who died in 1986.
