LaRue "Rudy" P. Walker, age 83, passed away October 8, 2011 surrounded by her family at her home in Orem, Utah.

She was born January 25, 1928 in Orem, Utah the 5th of 13 children.

She married Guy Junior Walker on September 26, 1946, their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

Rudy attended schools in Orem. Later in life she was an avid golfer and was a member of the Timpanogos Ladies Golf Association.

She was a member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings, some of her favorites were Secretary of Young Women's and Cub Scouts.

She loved being a homemaker and cherished her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Guy Junior Walker, children Ken (Sondra) Walker, LaDean (Gary) Hancock, Blaine (Jeanne) Walker. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother and 1 great- grandson Austin Vickery.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem.

A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home as well as a visitation on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 p.m. prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
