She was born September 15, 1921 in Huntington, Utah, the second of 13 children of Armeldo and Lylia Jean Johnson Prestwich. She married L. Lyman Penrod and together they are the eternal parents of LaDell, Bruce, Marie (Paul Bergeson), Evan (Deena), Lowell (April), and Leonard (Christy).
Beth was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her devoted husband, her five children, 23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her son, Bruce, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 4, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wandamere Ward Chapel, 2700 S. 300 E. A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple St., Thursday from 7-9 p.m., and at the ward from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
The family would like to extend thanks to IHC Hospice for their tender care of Beth.
