Talbert was born on September 4, 1928 at home in Crossville, Tennessee. He joined the army at 17 and lost an ear drum to artillery. He moved to Michigan and found himself a job with Cadillac Motor Company.
He married Lois R. Ward at 22 years of age and went on to have 5 children with her.
He is survived by 4 of those children...Norman Lee died in 2006. The surviving children are Kenneth Ward, William Ward, Joseph Ward and Nancy Longordo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great grand children.
He will always be remembered as a good honest man and a hero to some of us.
