Mrs. Della Koch Rites Wednesday


Funeral services for Mrs. Della Koch, 71, of 505 Loucks avenue, wife of Louis Koch and a Peoria resident for 50 years, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Boland mortuary and at 9 at Scared Heart Catholic church.

The Rev. Baldwin Schulte will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary this afternoon and evening and the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Koch died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis hospital.

She was born at Princeville Oct. 13, 1880, a daughter of Henry and Emma Metzel Hammer and married Mr. Koch in Peoria Jan. 15, 1902. She was a member of Scared Heart Catholic church and the Third Order of St. Francis.

Surviving are her husband; one soon Leland F. Koch; two daughters, Mrs. Orma Garst and Mrs. Rosemary Odam, all of Peoria; two brothers Fred Hammer of Princeville and Charles Hammer of Peoria; two sisters, Mrs. Lilly Custer and Mrs. Charles Harbers, both also of Peoria and seven grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are dead.
