Jacob Andrew Shoemaker died at 2 o'clock Thursday, January 11 at the county home, his death was due to anemia. Hias born in Page County Iowa on November 1, 1867, and besides his mother, living near Coburg, he leaves four brothers and one sister. They are Ed. Jesse, George, and Wilson, and Mrs. Fred Smith.
The funeral was held at the Methodist Church in Coburg at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon, Rev. Schull of Essex conducting the services. The pall bearers were W. O. Stiffle, Eli Resh, Fred Resh, Virgil Hunt, Arthur Lawshe, and John Dukeshire and interment was made in the Essex Cemetery.
