Harry F. Browning, 74, of 1111 Salem, died in his home at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, after a six weeks illness.
Born in Tippecanoe County, he was a lifelong resident of the Lafayette area. He was a member of the Grace EUB Church and IOOFLodge5.
He was married to Florence M. Martz in 1911 and was last employed as a Purdue University farm foreman for 10 years before retiring nine years ago. Before that, he worked for the Lafayette Ice and Coal Co. and Public Service Co.
Surviving with the widow are one son, Earl E. Browning of Toronto, Canada; and one sister, Mrs. James E. Ford of Thorntown.
