Rose Alberta Browning, 11-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Browning, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital at 7 o'clock Thursday morning [May 29, 1924]. She had been ill for six weeks and death was due to complications following an operation for removal of a goiter.
The girl was born in Lafayette on Dec. 28, 1912. She was a pupil in Washington School and a member of Grace U.E. church and Sunday school. She was popular among her many friends and classmates.
Surviving are the parents; a brother, Earl; and a sister, Marie. The funeral will be conducted at Grace U.E. church Saturday at 2 o'clock and burial will be in Spring Vale cemetery. Rev. J.W. Miller, Grace church pastor, will be in charge.
