Obituary:
Mrs. Florence Fischer, 81, of rural St. Philip, died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday at Deaconess Hospital. She was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church and the Ladies Club and the Senior Citizens Club of the church.
Surviving are her husband, John A.; four sons, John R., Francis and Richard, all of St. Philip, and Wilburn of Corpus Christi, Tex.; three daughters, Dorothy at home, Mrs. Mary Jean Martin of St. Wendel, and Mrs. Patricia Ann Norman of St. Philip; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Schenk of Dale, Ind, and Mrs. Mathilda Convery of Omaha, Neb.; 40 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, continued at 9:30 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
