Mrs. Eva Steinert, 85, of Milberger, Died Last Night
Funeral Tentatively Set For Sunday Afternoon At Milberger
Mrs. Eva Katherine Steinert, 85, years of age, passed away quietly last night in her sleep at her home in the Milberger neighborhood.
Mrs. Steinert was one of the earliest settlers of Russell County. She was born April 3, 1864 at Bloomenfeldt, Russia, and she came to this country with her family in 1876 when they settled in the Milberger community of this county. She had been a constant resident of Russell County since that time.
Funeral services had not been definitely completed this morning but the rites are expected to be held Sunday afternoon at the Milberger Church. The body is at the Deines Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by the following seven children: Emanuel Steinert, of Russell, and Mrs. John K. Nuss, Mrs. John Jacob Nuss, Mrs. Peter Nuss, George K. Steinert, Edwin Steinert and Dave Steinert, all of the Milberger vicinity.
She was found dead in her bed this morning and is thought to have died about midnight last night.


The Milberger Death Register for the Combined Records of the Lutheran Church in Milberger KS has an entry that reads:
Eva Katharine (Dumler) Steinert died July 7, 1949, aged 85 years 3 months 3 days of Old Age.
