LouElla was born in 1926 to Charles and Edna Harrison. She married Henry Rodgers in 1944 and was blessed with eight children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and all six of her siblings. By God's peace and love may she be at rest.

Lou Ella (Harrison) Rodgers was born to Charles Audley and Edna Lou (Howeth) Harrison on April 30, 1926 at Chattanooga, OK and departed this life in Temple, OK on October 9, 2019 at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 9 days.

Lou grew up in the Cement, OK, area. She married Henry David Rodgers in April of 1944 as he was serving his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. The family moved back and forth between Arizona and Oklahoma with work, eventually settling at Lawton, Oklahoma in 1951. When the kids reached school-age she went to work for LPS in various school cafeterias. She later worked several years at Joseph’s Nursing Home and Boarding House in Lawton.

Lou attended Open Door Church of God. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and family game night.

She was preceded in death by all of her siblings; 2 sons, Dave and Don L. Rodgers; 2 daughters, Joyce P. Higgenbothom and Donna K. Crow; and a granddaughter.

Survivors include 3 sons, Richard O. Rodgers and Robert R. Rodgers both of Walters, OK, Kenneth A. Rodgers and wife Mary of Ft. Myers, FL; 2 daughters, Bessie L. Williams of Altus, OK, Darlene Melton and husband Ray of Buckhorn, NM; a daughter-in-law, Ginny Rodgers of Everett, WA; 21 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
