Dave Harrison was born to Charles Audley and Edna Lou Harrison on March 27, 1938, at Cement, OK and departed this life in Duncan, OK on October 12, 2009, at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 15 days.
Dave grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He married Phylis Rose Smith on October 12, 1957 at Santa Ana, CA and to the union 3 children were born. They moved to Lawton, OK, in 1963, where Dave was employed in advertising at the Lawton Constitution for several years before going to work as a salesman for Conway and Hale. He later became a heavy equipment operator for Grayson Sand and Gravel eventually moving to Walters in 1994 where he operated his own company called Dave's Trucking. Phylis preceded him in death on March 17, 1999. He was also preceded by a brother and 3 sisters.
Dave married Becky (Gunn) Tweton on February 4, 2000 and they made their home in Walters until moving to Oklahoma City where Dave assisted Becky with apartment management and he began selling used cars. They moved to Velma in January of 2006 and Dave continued selling cars, trucks and anything else.
He was a member of the Alma Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, horse races and car auctions. He loved spending time with the grandkids, and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Becky of the Home; a son, David Lee Harrison, Jr. and wife Sharon of Walters, OK; 2 daughters Melanie Bloomfield and husband Creig of McAllen, TX and Connie Earley and husband Tony of Laketown, Utah; 2 stepsons, Steve Harrison of Velma, OK and Keith Barron and wife Laura of McKinney, TX; a stepdaughter, Susan Woolver and husband Jeremy of Chickasha, OK; a brother, Ed Harrison of Yuma, AZ; a sister Lou Rogers of Walters; 8 grandchildren, Kyle David Harrison and wife Nicole, Kyndall Harris and husband Jason, Kourtlin Harrison, Hesston Harrison, Austin Bloomfield, Jessica Bloomfield, Dalton Earley and Kade Earley; other relatives and many friends.
