Delores O. White, age 77, of Menomonie, Wis., died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at her home with hospice.
The former Delores Fisher was born March 21, 1926, in Menomonie to Louis and Olga (Moe) Fisher. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie. She also attended schools in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1944.
Delores married Ralph White in 1970 in Las Vegas. After their marriage they moved to Spring Valley, Wis.
Delores worked at the Fair Store in Menomonie for several years and Sandy Lee Mfg. for 13 years before going to work for Richard Rudisill in Spring Valley for 20 years. She retired from there in 2000, when Ralph became ill. After Ralph’s death, Delores moved back to Menomonie in February of 2000. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, fishing and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed.
Delores is survived by two daughters, Linda (Doug) Dyle of Hudson and Julia Ziehme (Craig Comstock) of Menomonie; three grandchildren, Scott (Shelly) Burr of Spring Valley, Jamie (Stacy) Burr of Baldwin and Wendy (Jon) Webb of Menomonie; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Miller and Pierce Burr; two brothers both of Menomonie, Hub (Lois) Fisher and Allan Fisher (Faye Leiter); one sister, Alice Myers of Madison; other relatives and friends. She is further survived by sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria “Babe” (Curtis) Nelson of Stockholm; sister-in-law, Helen Gillis of Plum City; stepchildren and step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph White; her mother and father, Olga and Louis Fisher; a daughter, Constance Fox; and a son, Thomas Luebke.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2003, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Rev. Ron Burke officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the funeral home.
