Robert enlisted in the US Marine Corp and was discharged in 1970. Prior to becoming disabled, he worked for a short time for Celotex in Lagro, Indiana, and Cyclone Cedar in Urbana, Indiana. He liked to cook and enjoyed taking care of his family and his home.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Blair) Cox of Wabash; three children, Emmanuel Lee Cox of Fort Wayne, Robert E. (Sandra) Cox II of Wabash, and Christy Cox of Craynor, Kentucky; four sisters, Dolly Hubbard, Barb Gibson, and Donna Faye Eastman, all of Wabash, Betty Miller of Andrews, Indiana; and brother, Bill (Bonnie) Cox, of Wabash; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Buddy Cox, and his sister, Darlene Kelly.
Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 10-11 a.m., Monday, March 28 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is the family of Robert Cox.
