Odeal Griffin was born June 16, 1903, to Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Boadwine in OxfordTownship, Hamlin County. She attended elementary school in Oxford Township and also Thomas High School. She married Arthur F. Griffin on December 15, 1924, at Watertown. The couple farmed all their lives in Hamlin County on the farm where Mr. Griffin was raised. After their retirement, they continued to live on the farm one mile north and one and a half miles west of Thomas. Mr. Griffin died April 17, 1979.
Mrs. Griffin was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church and St. Martin's Lutheran Church Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Rural Mission Group, Countryettes Extension Club and a former Hamlin County 4-H leader.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald and Wesley of Watertown; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Beulah) Mahnke ofHudson, Wis., and Mrs. Peter (Sylvia) Crom of Dexter, Minn., 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
