"THOMAS FARMER DIES FOLLOWING HEART ATTACK

Howard Boadwine, 35, lifelong resident of Hamlin county, died at a Watertown hospital early Monday morning, following a brief illness. Mr. Boadwine had a heart attack Sunday morning and was brought to a Watertown hospital where he died the following day. He suffered with diabetes for many years. He lived on a farm home two and one half miles east of Thomas.

Howard Boadwine, son of Oliver and Bertha Stark Boadwine, was born at Thomas, July 26, 1910 and spent his entire life in that vicinity. After graduating from the Thomas high school, he attended Eastern State Normal school at Madison for two years. Since completing his education, he has been engaged in farming. He was interested in community affairs and served as assessor for Oxford township for one term.

Mr. Boadwine is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lyle E. Lee of Vancouver, Wash., and Mrs. Arthur Griffin, of Thomas; four brothers, Nelson E. Boadwine and Noel Boadwine, both of Hayti, Francis Boadwine of Thomas and Graydon Boadwine of Vancouver, Wash. Other survivors are an uncle, Frank X. Boadwine, of Watertown and an aunt, Mrs. Fred Helbing of Glenwood, Minn. A brother, William, preceded him in death in 1930.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in the Methodist church in Thomas, preceded by a prayer service in the Shaw-Messer chapel in Watertown at one o'clock. The Rev. LeRoy Stratton of Hazel will officiate at both services and burial will take place on the family lot in the Thomas cemetery.

A brother, Graydon Boadwine of Vancouver, Wash., was to arrive on Wednesday evening to be present for the services."
