The "Old Families of Randolph County Missouri" describes her father, Nicholas PYLE, as an "Indian doctor". Nicholas moved the family, traveling on horseback, to Christian County, Kentucky about 1793 when Susannah was 7 years old.
8 APRIL 1805 a marriage license was issued to Susannah and William Henry BROOKS in Christian County. According to the family Bible they were married 16 APRIL by William's father, Jesse BROOKS. John ROUTH was a witness.
