Mrs. Sylvia VanCise, 69, died in the Castile Sanitarium last Tuesday, March 17, 1959 after a lengthy illness. She was born in the Town of Genesee Falls on November 26, 1889, the daughter of Walter and Eva Mather Payn.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, Rochester in 1922. Following graduating she operated the Payn Hospital here. Later she did nursing in Rochester, then moving to Perry twelve years ago.
Survivors include two sisters, Miss Belle Payn of Castile, Mrs. Lorena Brewer of Rochester; and a brother, Victor Payn of Castile. Funeral services were conducted at Harmon Funeral Home with burial in Portageville Cemetery.
