Anna B. Hess, 77, formerly of Hartford City, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at Christian Care Retirement Center.
Born Nov. 13, 1930 in Grayson, Ky., she married Lee E. Hess Jr. in Hartford City on May 5, 1950. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1989.
She worked in housekeeping at Taylor University in Upland and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle.
Surviving are one son, Lee (Tina) Hess of Hartford City; two daughters, Maggie (Robert) Tudor and Carolyn (John) Reynolds, both of Bluffton; three brothers, Charles (Donna) Hall and George F. (Betty) Hall, both of Hartford City, and Lloyd K. (Diana) Hall of Montpelier; one sister, Maxine (George) Adkins of Hartford City; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by thee sisters, three brothers and a grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Apostolic Tabernacle in Hartford City with Bishop Larry Hunter and Pastor Gerald Shelby officiating.
Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Waters Funeral Home, 501 West Washington St., in Hartford City and also from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to Christian Care Retirement Home, Bluffton.
