George and Susan Sarvis at their home in Avoca, Iowa. (Courtesy of Mary Dunlevy Gramkow.) According to the abstract of the property, it was sold to Susan Sarvis from J. W. Lemmon February 13, 1891. "Matt" died in 1927 and Susan died in 1937, so this photo would probably have been taken between 1891 and 1927.
