Funeral services for Mrs. J.M. Bristow, 82, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist church here with Reverend E.A. Spiller, Weleetka, officiating.

Burial was in Greenlawn cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral home. Pallbearers included Dr. Charles Mitchell, Woodrow Vanidver, Ellis Vandiver, Neill Lefors, Dick Crumpler and Malcolm Wessinger.

Born at Harrison, Ark., October 19, 1880, she died at her home Monday after a long illness. A resident of Checotah since 1919, she was a member of the First Baptist church.

Survivors include two sons, Pat of Warrenton, Mo., and Bill of Wichita Falls, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. L.B. Clayton, Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Howard Andrews, Independence, Mo., and Mrs. John Martin, Mrs. David (Maxine) Crumpler and Mrs. Frances Cates, all of Checotah; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Henry Holt, Harrison, and Jim Holt, North Dakota.
