Ruth Ellen Packett, 60, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011, at North Kansas City Hospital. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Harmony Vineyard Church, 600 NE 46th Street, Kansas City, MO 64116. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday, at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your favorite children's charity or the mission fund at Harmony Vineyard Church. Ruth was born Feb. 10, 1951, in Alpine, Texas, the daughter of Dr. George D. and Mildred Webb Thomason. She was a reading specialist and taught 1st grade and later owned and operated Green Keyboard, LLC, designing web sites. Ruth loved teaching children and crafts. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Martin Thomason. Ruth is survived by her husband, Robert L. Packett; two daughters, Lara (Mathew) Ashbaugh, Courtney (Andy) Morstatter; and brother, John Thomason.
