Mildred W. Thomason, 94, of Gladstone, Mo., passed away Mon., Feb. 6, 2017. Memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Fri., March 3, at Winnwood Baptist Church. Mildred was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Louisiana, she was raised in Texas. Proud member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She studied art education and received a Master's Degree in religious education. She had a strong belief in God and cared deeply for her family. She was an accomplished teacher, always learning and teaching others. She taught Sunday school proudly for many years. She was a problem solver and a tinkerer, with a pocket knife at the ready in her pocket, and an idea in her mind. Mildred is proceeded in death by her husband, George Thomason, daughter, Ruth Ellen Packett and son, Martin Thomason. She is survived by her son, John Thomason, son-in-law, four grandchildren, and seven loving great grandchildren.
