Juanita G. Trujillo, 90, lifetime resident of Sierra and Luna counties presently residing in Deming died early Easter Sunday at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov.1, 1900 in Garfield was a member of a longtime Sierra county pioneer family having lived in San Antonito, San Marcial and Monticello. She had been a resident of Deming for 31 years was a communicant of St. Ann's Catholic Church and a member of the League of the Sacred Heart.
Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. today at Baca's Funeral Chapels. The vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Ann's Catholic Church and the funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The rite of committal will follow at Mountain View Cemetery with the Order of Augustinian Recollects officiating.
Survivors include a son Victor and his wife Romelia Trujillo, Deming; two daughters Vidal and her husband Santiago Gonzalez of Garfield and Teresa and her husband Joe Cordova of El Paso, Texas; a sister Josefa Gonzales of Deming; two foster children Billy Trujillo, Colorado Springs, Colo. and Lillian Ruiz, Morongo Valley, Calif.; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tomas Trujillo in 1980 and a daughter Phyllis in 1990.
Casket bearers will be Larry and Gregorio Trujillo, Billy Cordova, Benjamin Gonzalez, Robert Ruiz and Raul Garcia.
Entrusted to the care of the Baca's Funeral Chapels.
