Funeral services were held Sunday for Miguel Garcia, resident of Deming for about 60 years, who died suddenly Oct.25. He was 68.
Mr. Garcia came to Deming when he was a small boy resided here until his death. He was well know throughout the area.
Father Elias Zuniga officiated at the services. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. Wheeler Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Besides his widow, Mr. Garcia is survived by a son, Raul Garcia; a daughter Librada Flores; and an adopted son Alfonso Lujan. Also by three brothers, Joe Garcia of Wyoming; Jim Garcia of El Paso; A. Garcia of Deming; and by six sisters, Aurora Ochoa, Josefa Gonzales, Apalonia Bustista, Maria Gonzales, Juanita Trujillo and Maria Caballero. And by several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
