Funeral services for Ruben Benjamin Davis were held from the home of his son, B.F. Davis on the Columbus Road yesterday at noon. Rev. Mr. Wilson and Elder W.W. Childs officiated. Interment was in the family cemetery.

Mr. Davis died at a local hospital Thursday morning at 1:15 o'clock after an illness of several months. He was born in Bibb County 70 years ago.

Surviving are his wife,who before their marriage was Miss Josephine Hoyle; three sons, seven daughters, three brothers, one sister and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were R.B. Scott, B.F. Davis, Jr., W.M. Clifton, B.F. Davis and E.S. Bullington.
