Dale Drollinger, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 27, 2009, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.

He was born June 7, 1934, in Idaho Falls to Cecil John Drollinger and Norma Delone Harris. He grew up in the Osgood area and graduated from Idaho Falls High School where he played football.

On August 27, 1953, he married Verna Marie Goodson in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She passed away on June 4, 1969, following an extended illness. He married Shirley Ann Brown on March 12, 1970, in Elko, Nevada. He worked as a farmer, rancher, truck driver, and was also an excellent car salesman. He enjoyed farming and raising lilies.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Drollinger of Idaho Falls; children, Alan Drollinger, Laurie (Neil) Hess, and Connie (Ron) Palmer of Utah; Doug Drollinger, Bobbie Drollinger, and Brent Drollinger of Idaho Falls, John Drollinger of South Carolina, stepchildren, Vickie (Bob) McKinney and Randy (Judy) Wheeler of Rigby; siblings, Larry (Nelda) Drollinger of Lewisville, Max (Mary Ellen) Drollinger of Coltman, Betty Gibbs of Ammon, and Richard (Julie) Drollinger of Firth along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Marie Goodson, three brothers, three sisters, one grandson, and one granddaughter.

The family would like to thank the ladies at Gem State Dialysis for their care, concern, and services over the past nine years.

No services are planned at this time. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 AM to Noon, Friday, October 2, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue.
