Zeta Mae Harwell Workman's name was synonymous with PTA work in Arlington, Texas. She was honored by virtually all the PTA organizations in the city three years ago when each declared 'Zeta Workman Day', an occcasion which was marked by the planting of trees in tribute to her on all the public school campuses of the city.
She was the past president of District I PTA and past president of the City Council PTA and one of the founders of the Arlington High School PTA, which she served as president for two years. She was also on the Arlington Library Board, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a member of First Baptist Church, having served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a charter member of Woman's Club.
