Annette Polk, age 80, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on September 24, 2015. She was born September 24, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to W.O. and Zeta Mae (Harwell) Workman.
Annette married Travis Polk on March 26, 1959. She received her BBA and Masters of Elementary Education from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Annette taught in Texas public schools for 35 years until she retired in January 1995. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Georgetown.
Survivors include her daughters, Theresa Thompson (Robert) Becky Camden (Rusty), brother, W.O. Workman, Jr. sisters, Jannette Workman, Gail Coffman, Judy Davis and grandchildren Kamyn Nix Bueno, Reba Nix, Kailey Thompson, Anthony Camden, and Kyle Camden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Polk; parents, W.O. and Zeta Workman; sisters, Jean Lisius, Frances Sitton and brother, Don Workman.
