William Doan
Funeral services for William Doan, 89 year old Dixon man who died Saturday, were held this afternoon in the Preston Funeral Home.
The Rev. Donald LittleJohn, pastor of the First Christian Church, Dixon, officiated. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Doan, who had resided in Dixon for the past 40 years, died at 11:25 am Saturday in the Lee County Nursing Home. He had been ill only a short time.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Susan Patterson, Sterling; two sons, George, Dixon; and Jasper, Mineral Point, Wis.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
His wife preceded him in death. She died in 1927.
