Mrs. Helen Johnson
Mr. Helen (Whitlock) Johnson, died recently in California. She was the youngest daughter of late Colin Campbell Whitlock and Annie (Inches) Whitlock, Calais, Me.
She was born in 1894, and was an honor graduate of Calais Academy and Simmons College, Boston, Mass. She taught sewing in high schools in Boston for several years. She married Jack H. Johnson who was born in London, England and they lived in Melrose, Mass., a few years later, moving to Los Angeles, Calif., where they lived until her untimely death.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Lawton of Texas and a grandson, Mark; a brother, J. Lawton Whitlock of Cambridge, Mass., and 1 sister, Mrs. Walter Andrews, Calais, Me., also Mrs. William Hayes of Ridgewood, N.J.
She had suffered from two broken hips and had been confined to a wheel chair for some time and was just able to take a few steps. Her death was due to a heart attack.
Funeral services were held in California with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery Cypress, Calif.
