Mrs. Harvey Dickens
Batavia - Mrs. Harvey Dickens, 84, of near Bladensburg, died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday at a hospital at Mt. Pleasant after a few months illness.
She was Miss Mary S. McDowell before her marriage and had spent all of her life in the Bladensburg vicinity. She was married to Mr. Dickens October 8, 1874. He died February 24, 1908. One daughter Mrs. Alice Schott, one brother and three sisters also preceded Mrs. Dickens in death.
Mrs. Dickens is survived by three children, Mrs. Nellie Esely of Loveland, Colo., Mrs. Charles Teninty of Batavia and Will Dickens of Batavia; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Will McDowell of Bladensburg and Hiram McDowell of Messilla Park, N. M., and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Yeager of Bladensburg and Mrs. Minnie Hanna of Eldon.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bladensburg Christian church and burial will be at the Dickins cemetery. The body will remain at the Campbell funeral home at Batavia until the time of the funeral home.
