Funeral Notice Died--In this city, at her home on Roswell street on Friday evening at 8 o'clock, Mrs Mamie (Manima) Brewer aged 66 years, She had been an invalid for 20 years, and for the past 7 months confined to her bed. Everything that medical skill and affection could dictate was done to alleviate her suffering, but in vain. She was born in Lawrence District S.C.(Laurens County)( old 96 District). August 11th 1828. On October 30th 1847, she was married to Mr. L. (Levi) Brewer, who died in the Confederate army at the close of the war, leaving a large family of children to her care and provision. The tender place she held in their hearts was attested by their devotion in her last illness. Soon after the war she moved to this state, where she has since resided. At the age of twelve she joined the Baptist Church and the faifth of her childhood sustained her in later years. The funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at her late residence, by Rev. A. J. Morgan of Acworth, whose church she was a member. She leaves nine children, seven sons and two daughters, and a large circle of friends to morn her death.
