Wilbert Vernon "Webb" Phillips 85 of Fulton Mo. passed away at Riverview Nursing Center on Sunday, July31, 2011. HE was born May 24, 1926, in Ashland Mo. the son of the late Alfred and Julian Ann (Brizendine) Phillips.
HE will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Sheila Adams of Fulton, MO. four grandchildren, Christine Verdugo, Robin Patrick, and Cindy Benningfield,and Michaewl Dudley,. nine greatgrandchildren, one greatgreatgrandson. one brother, DON (MARY LOU) Phillips of Fulton MO. and two sisters, Margaret Matteson and Mildred Colter , both of Fulton MO. HIS parents, three brothers,Edward Phillips, Troy Phillips, and Norma Phillips and one sister, Patty Phillips , preceded him in death.
Mr Webb owned and operated Phillips Grocery in Fulton MO. from 1962-1970. he was a butcher for over fifty years. HE retired from Missouri School for the Deaf where he worked in night security. Webb was an avid fisherman..
FUNERAL services will be 6;00p.m. on THURSDAY, AUGUST 4, 2011 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton MO. with REV. Walter L. Lockhart officiating. Visitation will be from 5p.m. until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
