Phillips

Edward Ellis Phillips, 58, of 611 Bluff
St., died Oct. 23 at the Boone County
Hospital in Columbia.
He was born March 28, 1923 at
Ashland, the son of Stephen Alfred and
Annie Brizindine Phillips. He was mar-
ried June 4, 1946 in Fulton to Margaret
Bartley, who survives at the home.
Moore was preceeded in death by his
parents, and an infant sister.
Moore had worked for the city of
Fulton for 15 years, and was a member
and deacon of the Richland Christian
Church. He also was a World War II
veteran, a member of the Fraternal
Order of Eagles of Jefferson City and
held a life membership in the Central
Missouri Chapter of Ex-Prisoners of
War Organization.
Other survivors include four
brothers, Troy Phillips, Wilbert
Phillips and Don Phillips, all of Fulton,
and Norman Phillips of Brooker, Fla.;
and two sisters, Margaret Matteson
and Mildred Colter of Fulton.
Funeral services will be held at 2
p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 at the Browning-
Debo Chapel. Rev. Harold Case will
conduct the services.
Visitation was held from 2-4 p.m.
and from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at
the funeral home. Burial will be at
Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may b made
to the Richland Christian Cemetary
Fund or the American Cancer Society.
