Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bertrand Richard Godfrey, passed away peacefully November 26, 1990.

Bert was born Feb. 4, 1898 in North Ogden, Utah to Melvin and Eva Jones Godfrey. He was raised in Magrath, Alberta, Canada. He married Rosezella Glenn Sept. 24, 1922 in Cardston, Canada; later solemnized in the Cardston LDS Temple. She died October 18, 1978. Married Marian Blanche Rasmussen Thomas March 3, 1979 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served an LDS mission to Vermont. Active member of the LDS Church, was a High Priest, having worked in the Salt Lake and Jordan River LDS Temples for over 27 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Blanche; one son, Gordon (Virginia), Salt Lake City; three daughters, Marion (Gordon) Glover, St. George; Kathleen (Paul) Watts, Farmington; Marie (Paul) Hedman, Provo; and two stepsons, Leo (Donna) Thomas, Morris (Karen) Thomas; 47 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Mervin Godfrey, Provo; Floyd Godfrey, Cardston, Canada; Joseph Godfrey, Calgary, Canada; Douglas Godfrey, San Rafael, California; one sister, Lottie Harker, Magrath, Canada.

Funeral services will be held Friday November 30, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Midvale East 4th Ward, 87 East 7100 South. Friends may call Thursday, November 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, and Friday one hour prior to services at the church. Burial, Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
