Audrey was born on March 2, 1923 to Otto Underwood and Rosetta Mclain in Plainview, Arkansas. She passed from this life on July 13, 2011 at Covenant Women and Children's Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.
Audrey married Dale Jones and had three children. She had been in the Roaring Springs community since 1977. Church Services for Audrey were held in Roaring Springs at the First Baptist Church with Joe Martin officiating.
Audrey is survived by her children Vernon Jones and wife Brenda of Atascadero, CA, Charles Jones and wife Connie of Merced, CA, and Betty McGregor and husband Glen of Garland, TX; a brother Charles Underwood of Newport Beach, CA; sisters Dora (Thomas) Hurt of Matador, Barbara (Kenneth) Marvel of Roaring Springs, Mildred Parr of Roaring Springs, Mary (Donald) Martin, Imogene (Buddy) Grant of Paducah, Sara (Joe) Martin, and Rosie (Bill) Martin. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Merced District Cemetery, 1300 B Street Merced, California.
Arrangements under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, Merced, CA.
