Graveside Services for Dora Mae Hurt, 82 of Matador, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday September 14, 2015 at East Mound Cemetery in Matador with Joe Martin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.

Dora passed from this life on September 12, 2015 in Crosbyton. Dora was born on March 22, 1933 in Afton, Texas to Charles Otto and Rosetta (McClain) Underwood.

She married Thomas Mac Hurt on September 27, 1947 in Roaring Springs. From this union they had five children; Tommy, Lee, Jimmy Don, Micky and Brenda. Dora was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church in Roaring Springs. She loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Tommy Hurt and wife Kate of Matador, Lee Hurt of Matador, Jimmy Don Hurt of Matador and Brenda Hurt Jacobs and husband Jim of Dumont. Daughter in law: Susie Canon Hurt of Paducah Four sisters: Barbara Marvel and husband Kenneth of Roaring Springs, Mary Belle Martin of Houston, Rosie Martin and husband Bill of Hamlin, and Sarah Martin and husband Joe of Wellington. One Brother: Charles Underwood of California Nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Mac Hurt, son; Micky Hurt, and her parents; Charles Otto and Rosetta Underwood.

The family has asked that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
