H.A. Merritt, of Brockport, Dies

Was Father of - Ridgway Residents

Harry Addison Merritt, 53, of Brockport, R.D., a resident of that community the last 17 years, died in his home at four o'clock this morning from a heart attack. Mr. Merritt, a veteran of World War I, had been ill a short time.

A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock in the Brandy Camp Methodist Church, the Rev. Gilbert Shilling officiating, with military honors by Parson-Marnati Post No. 95, of Brockway. Interment in Brandy Camp Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Carlson Funeral Home in Brockway until 1 o'clock Friday afternoon.

Mr. Merritt was born May 4, 1900, in Grampian. He had been employed by the Stackpole Carbon Company in St. Mary's.

Survivors are his widow, Ada, and the following children: Mrs. Martha Nulf and Arthur Merritt, Star Route, Ridgway; Daniel Merritt, Dagus Mines; Mrs. Edna Cribbs and Frank, Brockport; Bernice, Flora, Nancy and Harry Jr., at home; also a half-brother, Daniel Hoover, DuBois, and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Peterson, Beryn, Nebraska, and Mrs. Isabelle Thompson, Clearfield.
