WALLACETON - James Franklin Merritt, 76, a resident of Wallaceton, died yesterday at 10:30 a.m. at his home of cerbral-hemorage.

Mr. Merritt had been ill for a number of years and bedfast for the past two months.

Born Aug. 17, 1882, at Grampian, he was the son of James and Charlotte (Litz) Merritt. He had been employed by the Wallceton brickyard prior to his illness and was a member of the Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mae Wagner, whom he married in Wallaceton in 1907; and these children: Mrs. Genevieve Butler, Painted Post, N.Y.; Charles, Saginaw, Michigan; Mrs. Kathlenn Knepp and Edward, both of Lock Haven; James, Wallaceton; and Mrs. Alma Brown, Fayettesville, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Wallaceton Church of God with Rev. Robert Detwiler officiating. Interment will follow in the Wallaceton Cemetery.

Friends may call at his home until 11 a.m. tomorrow when the body will be taken to the church for viewing until time of services.

WALLACETON - Unintentionally ommitted from Saturday's obituary on James F. Merritt, Wallaceton resident who died Friday at his home, was a brother Charles of Juniata and four great-grandchildren.
