ELIZABETH - Charley Bradford Corbitt, 78, 0f Coolville, Ohio, died Sunday evening at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, after a long illness.
He was born in Reedy, W.Va., a son of the late Albert G. and Bessie Burch Corbitt. He was retired from Libby-Owens Ford Plant, was amember of Coolville United Methodist Church, Jounior OUAM No. 33 of Palestine and was a carpenter by trade.
Surviving are two sons, Albert M. "Bob" Corbitt of Parkersburg and Charles R. Corbitt of Palestine; three daughters, Martha Allen of Williamstown, Donna Lynch of Palestine, and Geraldine Stone of Coolville; four brothers, Herman Corbitt of Bath, Ohio, Harold Corbitt and Argil Corbitt , both of Vienna, and Billie Corbitt of Parkersburg; a sister, Mildred Sims of Palestine; 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carrie Sims Corbitt; by four brothers, a sister, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services were Wednesday, 2 p.m. at the Matheny=Pomeroy Chapel with the Rev. Seldon A Scott officiating, Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery, Thorne Addition.
