Dora Miranda Bell was the first born daughter of Millie M. "Hulda" Bullard. Millie was only 16 years old when she married John William Leming, of TN then AR, in 1875, in Washington County, Arkansas.

Dora's Death Certificate says she was born in 1876, her grave marker reads 1877, and now, we search for birth records to confirm which date is correct.

It is almost certain, and even conveyed by Dora to her daughter, Cora, that she was at least half Cherokee Indian from Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Dora married Henry Clayton Winn, son of Zadok Clayton Winn and Miranda Winn of Washington County, Arkansas. Dora and Henry Clayton had 6 children, Maude Augusta, Dolly Grace, Cora Helen, John Boston, Clyde Clayton & Millie Lorean.

They lived in many places in Arkansas, Indian Territory, Oklahoma and Texas. Dora and Henry were blessed with a strong Christian Faith and upbringing, and passed that on to their wonderful children and grandchildren. The family was always close, and "there" for each other. They looked forward to frequent Family Reunions, and their descendaants continue them to this day.

Dora Bell & Henry Clayton Winn were the true examples of how a family should love and support each other with grace, kindness, respect and remembrance. We, as their descendants, only hope and pray to live up to their standards of love of family, and to share that with those we propagate. God's Speed, wonderful parents, grandparents and great grandparents!

A cousin, & great nephew of Dora Leming Bullards, Rick Scott, and his father has found our family. They are Cherokee Indian, and we are talking now, sharing stories, and documents, and have confirmed that Marinda "Dora" Bell Leming Winn was a Cherokee Indian, just as both of her parents were! Galiheli tsidenalv, new cousin!

We are blessed that you came before us.
