LaRayne Gallagher, 80, a longtime resident of Moorhead and Big Cormorant Lake, died Saturday, June 5 at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, from the Korsmo Funeral Chapel in Moorhead.
Interment was at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Moorhead.
LaRayne Marjorie Sheleny, was born Dec. 6, 1918, to Frank and Margaret Sheleny, Lidgerwood, N.D., and she was one of 12 children.
She married Clinton W. Gallagher on April 11, 1936. In 1941 they moved to Moorhead and in 1975 to Big Cormorant Lake, rural Audubon.
Mrs. Gallagher worked for Fairmont Creamery for a time, and at the Red Owl Store in Moorhead for 23 years. She retired in 1974. Mr. Gallaher died in 1979.
Surviving are her two daughters, Collene Barnick, Fargo; and Claudia (Bob) Keeves, Buffalo, N.Y.; her son, Howard (Janet) Gallagher, rural Audubon; a brother and two sisters, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
