Mrs. Bessie Corbitt, 75, of Palestine, died early Wednesday morning, March 28, in the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wood County, March 21, 1886, daughter of Edward and Ellen Cheuvront Burch and was a member of the Palestine Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Corbitt, who died in 1951.
Survivors included seven sons, Charlie of Palestine, Harold, Harry, and Argyle, all of Vienna, Herman of Akron, , Homer of Mineral Wells, and Billie Corbitt of Parkersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Blair of Palestine and Mrs. Mildred Smith [Sim] of Palestine; two brothers, Charlie Burch of Grantsville and Aaron Burch of Palestine; two sisters, Mrs, Jeanette Sloter and Mrs, Sarah McCutcheon, both of Parkersburg; 26 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were condudted at 2 p.m. Daturday from the Palestine Methodidt Church with the Rev, Paul Higgins and the Rev, S .A. Scott officiating. Interment followed in the Palestine Cemetery.
